Étienne oversees the group’s trading and risk-management strategies on the financial markets.
Étienne is a rigorous trader, who has an excellent knowledge of all types of financial markets. Twice a graduate of a Master in Management and a Master of Science in Market Finance from EDHEC Business School, Étienne started his career in 2010 at Barclays Investment Bank based in London. He advised institutional clients and major international companies on their strategic exposures in foreign currencies and precious metals within the Global Markets division of the bank. Starting in 2019, he structured innovative financing solutions for CAC40 companies within Debt Capital Markets division of the bank and took part in the syndication of senior and subordinated bond issuances. Étienne conducted risk-management and financing advisory on numerous complex trans-border transactions such as Accor’s take over of Mantra, or LVMH’s purchase of Tiffany. Since 2020, Étienne has been intervening as distinguished guest lecturer at ESSEC and EDHEC business schools, on corporate treasury risk-management and financing topics. Étienne joined OCIM in 2022 as Chief Trading Officer to carry out the financial dynamic strategies to hedge the group’s currencies and precious metals exposures. Creative, Étienne is the worthy heir of the french financial engineers of the 80’s at the origin of the design of derivatives products.
