Laurent leads OCIM’s Strategy and Business Development.
Laurent graduated from ENSAE as an Actuary and holds an MBA in finance from the Wharton School, with distinction (Dean’s List). In 1989, he started his career as a financial analyst at Banque Paribas and went on to become financial director of L’immobilière de Crédit, a credit institution approved by the Banque de France. From 1997, he was at his father’s side as deputy CEO of the holding company controlling the OCIM group. In 2001, he developed a diversification structure for the OCIM group, based in London and active in the financial markets and in private equity. Laurent also has significant experience in the trading and marketing of gold and precious stones. He was the founder and CEO of Auraria (democratising investment gold with the marketing of affordable bullion) and Adamia (which created the concept of investment diamonds), notably selected to participate in an Economic Mission of the Belgian State to Asia, together with Princess Astrid and Deputy Prime Minister Reynders. The OCIM group, founded in 1961, and under Laurent’s management since 2015, is diversifying its activities. Laurent is an enterprising, high-achieving businessman.
