Maxime Piccot

Sourcing and Due Diligence Manager

Based in Geneva, Maxime is responsible for due diligence across all clients and partner operators of the OCIM Group.

He evaluates the compliance of incoming physical metal flows and ensures adherence to the highest AML-CFT standards in anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing practices. Maxime provides strategic recommendations, audits existing supply chains, identifies new opportunities, and contributes to the Group’s global risk assessment efforts.

With a dual degree from IDRAC Business School in Lyon and the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, Maxime began his career at Ernst & Young in Geneva, where he spent six years in audit and advisory roles within the commodities trading and financial institutions sector. In 2021, he joined LBMA accredited refinery MKS PAMP as Head of Onboarding, overseeing the evaluation of clients and prospects across regulatory, credit, and operational risk dimensions.

Maxime joined OCIM to support the Group’s ambition to establish a vertically integrated presence across the entire value chain of the metals industry. His expertise in responsible sourcing, regulatory compliance, and risk analysis is key to the Group’s strategy focused on trusted relationships with ASM (Artisanal and Small-scale Mining) partners.

In his free time, Maxime finds balance and inspiration in the mountains, where he enjoys spending time exploring nature.

In matters of truth and justice, there is no difference between large and small problems, for issues concerning the treatment of people are all the same.
