Laurence Mathiot
Special Advisor to the Chairman - Communication & Governance

Laurence supports OCIM’s Chairman in Communications and Governance.
Laurence serves as Special Advisor to the President of the OCIM group, with particular responsibility for communications and governance matters, a role she took up in September 2026 as a natural continuation of her commitment over recent years. In this capacity, she advises the President on the group’s institutional positioning and public voice, ensures the consistency of its messages across entities and geographies, and supports the structuring of its governance framework as OCIM pursues its international development.
In 2000, Laurence began her career in the metals industry at the headquarters of Pathel Industrie as Export Legal Affairs Officer, where she managed contractual relations for Asian imports. In 2006, she continued her education with a Master’s degree in Institutional and Corporate Communication at the Panthéon-Sorbonne University. She then worked within major haute couture houses (Jean-Paul Gaultier, Léonard) and for tableware brands (Haviland, Cristallerie Royale de Champagne). In 2009, she participated in the creation of two companies, Auraria and Adamia, and structured their online gold and diamond sales websites.
In 2018, Laurence joined OCIM to build the group’s institutional communications and, from 2022 onward, supported OCIM’s growth in its human relations and the management of its labor relations in collaboration with management. She then led the group’s Human Resources Department, where she oversaw recruitment, skills development and social dialogue, and structured the function to match the international scope of the group’s activities before handing it over in 2026.
She is a good listener who believes that dialogue with others is a shared source of wealth.
